1030 Advanced-n 6230 Driver Windows 10: Intel Centrino Wireless-n

Windows 10 features an aggressive automated update system that frequently replaces stable, older manual drivers with newer, broken generic ones. To lock in your working Centrino driver, you must tell Windows to leave it alone. Use the System Properties Option:

Go to Intel Download Center and search for “ Wireless_18.33.1_Driver64.zip ” (for 64‑bit Windows 10) or “ Wireless_18.33.1_Driver32.zip ” (for 32‑bit). Direct link path (historical): Intel no longer lists these under new product pages, but their legacy driver archive may still have it. Use the Intel Driver & Support Assistant first.

In Device Manager, right-click the adapter > > Advanced . Select 802.11n Mode and set it to Disabled . Fix 3: Perform a Clean Installation If the driver is corrupted, remove it completely.

The 6230/1030 are "Combo" cards. Sometimes the Wi-Fi works but Bluetooth doesn't. You may need a separate Bluetooth driver (v15.6 or similar).

Since Intel removed these legacy downloads from their primary automated download tools, you must source the final generic package.
