4 Cimes Hot!

The window for the is narrow. Early July is often too dangerous due to neve (old snow) covering the loose rocks, creating a slip risk. Late September is too cold, with the risk of early winter storms.

L'événement se déroule généralement le deuxième week-end de novembre, souvent sous des conditions automnales qui renforcent le caractère épique de l'épreuve (boue, feuilles, froid). Le Parcours Mythique : 33 km de Défi

She thought of Marc at base camp, rubbing his hands by the stove. Of her father, who’d died on Sentinelle’s eastern flank when she was twelve. Of the promise she’d made on his grave: I will stand where you fell. 4 cimes

The environment of the 4 Cimes is as beautiful as the race is difficult. The Pays de Herve is characterized by its "bocage" landscape—a patchwork of orchards, meadows, and ancient hedgerows. Runners pass through narrow stone passages, over stiles, and across private farmland specifically opened for the event. This pastoral beauty provides a sharp contrast to the physical suffering of the participants. Weather also plays a massive role; because the race typically takes place in the autumn, runners often contend with wind, slick mud, and the unpredictable Belgian rain, turning the steep descents into treacherous slides.

“Because no one’s tried,” Lena said, but her voice lacked conviction.

It was a low hum, like a cello string plucked by a glacier. Lena had heard stories: the Cimes were not mountains, but the teeth of a sleeping giant buried before the first pine took root. Climb all four in one day, the legend said, and you wake him.

To help tailor this guide for your upcoming race, let me know: Early July is often too dangerous due to

Wake up , the giant whispered.

Les ravitaillements sont réputés pour être "vivants", et des animations, comme une fan zone à la Croix de Charneux , soutiennent les participants.

For four decades, this event has stood out in the European running calendar. It shuns the corporate, commercialized nature of modern mega-marathons, choosing instead to preserve an authentic, community-driven philosophy rooted in camaraderie, natural beauty, and extreme physical perseverance.

: A shorter but intensely fast-paced alternative. It takes place the day before the main event and packs 310m+ of elevation change . Le Parcours Mythique : 33 km de Défi

The event is centrally staged out of , with race headquarters, bib collection, and post-race festivities primarily situated around the Rue du Centre. Due to the race's anniversary milestones and massive regional popularity, spots for the individual 33km and business relays sell out rapidly.

The concept of Les 4 Cimes was born from a passionate group of local Belgian runners who fell in love with iconic alpine races like Switzerland's Sierre-Zinal and France's Crêtes Vosgiennes . They wanted to recreate that exact ethos—characterized by raw human adventure, mutual discovery, and a deep connection to nature—on their home turf.

About Us

The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all families of children in grades 1-4. Our mission is to support parents and caregivers in leading and encouraging their children in a growing, joyful love relationship with Jesus Christ.
The first few years of a child’s life sets the stage for their future.  For parents/families of pre-K through fourth grade children, our Adventurer Clubs provide a safe place to encourage the development of the necessary social and interpersonal skills they need, in an environment that promotes Christian values and responsibilities.
Families will learn a variety of topics together, from character building, nature, hobbies, safety, and much more. This club also has parenting tips and resources through the family network and is designed to help you be the best parent/caregiver you can be as you partner with your child and other families to grow your kids to be the best they can be. Most clubs meet twice a month.
