At the heart of the game is a betrayal. Your character learns that his father has, for three years, been involved in an affair with a woman named Jessie. In a stunning turn of events, the father not only acknowledges this betrayal but brings Jessie into the family home as his new wife, effectively forcing his son to live under the same roof as his former mistress.

Throughout "Last Summer", MOS draws inspiration from a range of sources, including 80s new wave, post-punk, and ambient music. The album's sonic palette is rich and varied, with nods to artists like Giorgio Moroder, The Cure, and Four Tet. O'Sullivan's production is meticulous, with every element carefully considered to create a cohesive, immersive listening experience. MOS- Last Summer

As MOS navigated the ups and downs of last summer, they began to realize the importance of self-discovery. Through journaling, meditation, and quiet moments of reflection, MOS gained a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world. This newfound self-awareness allowed them to approach challenges with confidence and clarity, even when faced with uncertainty.

The game's premise is deceptively simple. The protagonist is a young, wealthy man whose life has been one of comfort and protection, "never having experienced poverty". As he spends his days by the lake, seemingly the picture of a perfect summer, the facade of normalcy begins to crack, revealing a family dynamic fraught with unspoken tensions and attractions.

Most dance music relies on a punchy, aggressive kick drum. "MOS- Last Summer" does the opposite. It utilizes a Roland TR-909 kick that has been heavily saturated and then side-chained to an impossible degree. When the kick hits, the entire synth pad ducks—or lowers in volume—for a full half-second. This creates a "pumping" or "breathing" effect that mimics the feeling of a heartbeat slowing down after a run. This track hits right in the nostalgia
